LinkLens Micro-Copy for WooCommerce

Quick start

1) Install and activate

Upload the plugin ZIP in WordPress, activate it, and confirm WooCommerce is active.

2) Add Product Blocks (free)

Edit a product and go to Product Data → Micro-Copy. Add up to 3 blocks. Choose a style, optional icon, message, and placements.

3) Enable Global Blocks (licensed)

Global Blocks let you set defaults once and reuse them across the store. Activate your license first, then open WooCommerce → Micro-Copy.

How it works

Micro-Copy blocks render automatically in WooCommerce using standard hooks. You choose where each block appears. The plugin keeps output lean and only loads its CSS on WooCommerce-related pages when a block or docs button is enabled.

Product Blocks

Product Blocks are stored per product and always available. They are simple and do not include advanced targeting.

Global Blocks

Global Blocks are stored once and can be shown across all products. They are available with an active license and include targeting rules.

Docs button per product

A separate optional button that can be enabled per product. It is not part of micro-copy blocks and it is not global.

Each block can be shown in one or more placements. These are the available placement areas in this version.

Placement tip

The highest impact placements are usually Under price, Before Add to Cart, Cart totals, and Before payment.

Each block supports a display style and optional icon.

Styles

  • Plain: minimal text, no box
  • Trust Strip: light bordered strip
  • Notice: subtle callout with a left border

Global Blocks targeting (licensed)

Global Blocks can be targeted using optional rules. Leave rules blank to show the block for all products.

Available targeting rules

  • Only for Virtual products
  • Only for Downloadable products
  • Min price and Max price
  • Category IDs and Tag IDs (advanced)

Term ID note

Category and Tag targeting uses term IDs. If you do not use term IDs, leave those fields blank. Many stores never need term targeting.

Per product auxiliary action button

You can enable a small auxiliary action button per product, such as View documentation, View demo, FAQ, or Learn more.. This is separate from micro-copy blocks.

Where to configure

  • Edit a product
  • Open Product Data → Micro-Copy
  • Find Optional Documentation Button
  • Set button text, URL, placement, and new tab option

Recommended placement is After Add to Cart. Keep the text short, for example “View documentation” or “Learn more”.

Licensing

What is gated

  • Product Blocks are always available
  • Global Blocks are available with an active site license
  • The docs button is per product and does not require licensing

Activate your license

In WordPress go to WooCommerce → Micro-Copy License. Enter your purchase code and verify. When active, Global Blocks become available in WooCommerce → Micro-Copy.

Troubleshooting
  • Confirm the purchase code is copied exactly
  • Try again after a minute if your server has aggressive caching
  • Make sure your site can reach external HTTPS endpoints
  • Check the status message on the license page

FAQ

Does it add bloat or builder UI?

No. It uses a small admin panel and renders lean markup. No front-end builders.

Will it load CSS everywhere?

No. CSS loads only on WooCommerce pages when at least one block or docs button is enabled.

How many blocks can I add?

This version supports up to 3 blocks for Product Blocks and up to 3 blocks for Global Blocks.

Do Global Blocks affect products that disable them?

No. Each product has a toggle named Use global defaults. Turn it off to show only Product Blocks.
